An accidental golfer, I found myself swinging my boyfriend's 7-iron at the age of 28, the most recent sports experience prior to this being bunking off cross country at school. Well the boyfriend is now a husband, the 7-iron is now a full set, and the ladies section of a certain lucky golf club has me on the committee. I don't do it for the social side (although I like many of the people I play with) and I don't do it for the sport (I don't care about winning or losing and I quite often don't count my score). I do it because I'm addicted. If you've ever swung a club and miraculously hit the ball right out of the sweet spot and watched it fly... well, you know exactly where I'm coming from.

What is it with women's golf?
If it's not men having some kind of attitude about playing with us, or clubs having ridiculous policies towards us, it's the people who are supposed to represent us making us look like half-wits.
Meanwhile golf clothing manufacturers try to make us wear pink clothes. Golf club manufacturers try to make us play with pink shafts. Golf ball manufacturers try to make us play with pink balls. Golf glove manufacturers give us pink gloves. Women pros are appreciated for their *ahem* physique. I'm sorry, I thought this was the 21st century?
Why is it so hard for a normal person to play golf? All I want to do is get out and hit some balls!
